6th HEROES RUN 2017 “BEING A HERO…TO OUR HEROES”

We are all born to be heroes but to be a hero requires sacrifice not only for one’s sake but also for the sake of others that needs it.

The Heroes Run was initially introduced as one of the main activity of the Philippine Military Academy Alumni Association Inc (PMAAAI) Army Chapter in December 2012 conducted at Fort Bonifacio, Metro Manila. The activity aimed to assist wounded soldiers in honor of their heroism. Thereafter, the activity has been a yearly activity of the PMAAA Army Chapter Inc (PACI). In 2014, the PACI facilitated the conduct of same activity in Iloilo City. Further, the said activity expanded in the succeeding years, 2015 and 2016 in Davao and Baguio respectively.

This year the 6th Heroes Run for 2017 aims to raise awareness about the plight of our heroes and raise funds for their beneficiaries. The proceeds of the activity will be donated to the Armed Forces of the Philippines Educational Benefit System Office (AFPEBSO) and Help Educate Rear Orphans (HERO) Foundations Inc. to provide scholarship grants to the families left behind by our fallen soldiers and the injured ones particularly the heroes of Marawi City.
